ok my problem wit the engine is that when i start up, as soon as i tip the gas pedal the car shuts off. ive serviced the trottle body changed filters and its still happening. does anyone knows what cud possibly b causing this???

na i doubt. the car starting normal and everything. everything wrkn well. but as soon as i touch d gas it cutting off. before while driving i was getting a stutter. till i might lose power at times n den it wud jus shoot off. one mech said it cud b plugs,or the mass air flow sensor givin trouble. i goin n change plugs today n c if it makes a diff..

Fuel lines clogged?

i cleaned injectors even went into the gas tank and everything is really clean. there was no water in the gas or nun.

Electrical OK?

to my knowing yeah. the car original. no conversion..

Fuel pump failing.

the fuel pressure is really gud. brand new fuel pump

Open the ecu. Look to see if anything loose or burnt. Also before you open it you may hear if anything loose by gently shaking it. This happened to an ad Wagon that I know of except the check light came on in that vehicle.

check distributor...

air flow sensor had the sane problem...use to strt as u mash gas it cut of...whenu drivin an mash out car stallin an den d rpms wud go rite up an car not goin no way

im getting the feeling its the air flow sensor cuz its the same thing thats happening right now. as i mash even the slightest mash n its cutting off. but the car starting in a one.... was rel stalling the night before this happened. and id mash x to board it will stall n den shoot off.

it will start normal at times then there r times where i hav to try 3 n 4 times b4 it does start. then as i mash gas it cuts off

but i dnt think the sensor is responding because even wen its plugged out and pluged in its the same thing. theres no change in idle wen its plugged out or nun

The brain maybe bad.....cuz same thing happen to mine until one day it cut off and could not start ......buy a new brain an see

what QG18DE comes with coil packs no distributor.
check your air flow sensor as other tuners recommend. its not the plugs or coil packs cause it doesnt misfire and it starts so it has fuel.

i think what may be happening is the air flow sensor cant correctly measure the amount of air the engine needs and when you press the pedal - opening the throttle, the sensor sends an incorrect reading..and the car cuts off...my theory

scan d car with a scan tool, check electrical connections at all sensor jacks- tps, maf, cam & crank. if all good swap ecu & compare as last resort.

is the problem solved ?

I had the same problem,and it was the air flow sensor and the O2 sensor, when changed you'll be ok, but get the car scanned

could be alternator
