Hey guys need some help. My dads almera qg16 auto recently started to stick in first. It doesnot do it all the time however the problem seems to be becoming more consistent. Recently when I drove it I notice it even redlines and not change. I tried easing of and running through D 3 2 L and neutral however when I brought it to neutral the car didnot go back into gear. I kept running through neutral and D and after a few tries I finally engaged. What could be the cause of that. The check light does come on during that time. revs and speedo works during that time also

it seems like the sensor in the transmission gone.might have to get a new one.costs around $1400.

if that's the cause / and those are his symptoms, it may be too far gone.
but a flush and change is the cheapest option.
