Hey guys am still a civic lover but i recently brought a nissan B13 WITH A CD20 DIESEL NON TURBO. A little cheaper knowing i would have to fix a few things...but boy did i have to fix...almost everything...from rubbers to transmission. Just when i thought i had everything down-pact d head gasket blow. the same day the mechanic finished put in d transmission i drove it about 1/2 mile home and i noticed oil leaking out of the head gasket. the car didnt over heat before dat, i saw no oil in d radiator, only very tiny bubbles coming out of d rad now and den, no white smoke... but i gave in..$500 labor an $160 for d gasket. i saw d gasket he took out and it really was in a state..like it hadn't been changed i years. Got it back and drove it around for 3 days...on d first day when i put on d aircondition the temperature gauge went just a little above d halfway mark. i took off d a/c and it immediately went back to the halfway mark. I told d mechanic he say dat i need to get d electric fan but i could drive once i dont use d aircondition. i did and d temperature didnt go up. Then on the 3rd day water started to GUSH OUT OF THE OVERFLOW. Switched off..let d engine cool..took off d rad cover and water started to shoot out of the radiator...he checked it an said the head gasket blow again. the mech kept asking if it overheat on me i told him only the one time an it didnt go up far..he said it could be dat! Could that little overheating really do this much damage? is there a fault with these engines? why is it dat the same day he put d transmission the gasket started to leak? is it related? thermostat out, water pump working. I AM OUT OF MONEY AND PATIENCE...any advise.
