I tried this but didn't keep it long ..You'll need something to control fuel at least...the SC14 make good boost from idle. It was blowing out intercooler hose around 3000 rpm. If you have good engine management it may work well. I went sr20det soon after and found it to be much better in terms of power and reliability...

you'll need a good tune because I'm sure you'll be over 10psi of boost at certain rpm. 10 psi is alot on any N/A engine. If you can get a relief valve??? Let us know how it turns out...

Boost controller yes but not the same type used in turbo charging. You need to do some more research maybe google other projects. I tried it but my downfall was I didn't have good engine management. Have a friend who tried it to and said it worked well. He fabricated a dodgy spring relief valve but he also said that gas mieage was poor with the charger on. The thing to consider the size of the sr pulley used to drive the SC and that the cfm or amount of air delivered is proportional to rpm. I used the sr a/c pulley which was about the same size as the sc14 pulley at it pushed sufficient boost.
With professional tuning may work well...
