TIIDA brake shoe

Postby baboo » April 19th, 2011, 3:17 pm

i have to change my tiida brake shoe and brake pad, and also polish the rotor and drums. (advised by master serv)
I purchased the generic wagner brake pad, however can anyone recommned which generic brake shoe i should buy and where to get it?
also i was told i can get a noise when i apply brake especially if i use a generic brand.
Please advise

The criteria I use for choosing aftermarket brake pads are:
1. The colour of the lining. I go for light colour, as the dark colour does not permit you to see 2. below.
2. The sintered metal content. This is most likely copper particles for metal-to-metal contact with the rotors for more friction, hence stopping power. The softer metal copper will wear, rather than your rotors.
3. If there is a centre groove, good ! However you can cut one with a hacksaw before installation. Helps with dust-dissipation.
4. Expensive does not make it superior.

Regards,
RR.

Wagner pads working perfect on my Tiida, i wouldnt use any other brand except for EBC Green stuff, as for the shoes i would go with OEM because i dont trust the horse S#!t thats on the shelves of the parts places, this is my opinion based on personal experience.

i purchased the OHK brake shoe today!
i hope this works ok.
my AC started giving problems last week as well!
it blowing but not cooling! i took it to get gased up and changed filter!
the AC Tech told me that the AC is cutting of too fast.
but although he claimed he gased it up - it is still not cooling!
what to do? or who to go by? in south
