WTK: coolant temp sensor

Postby audioangel » July 1st, 2010, 1:12 pm

i have a problem with my wingroad QG15 DE. the radiator fan not coming on unless the ac is turned on. the top of my radiator blew out the other day and i changed it. i also replaced the relay and the fuse.

the problem is that the fan not coming on when the engine heats up. i think it might be the coolant temperature sensor. anyone knows where this is located on the engine?

also is there anyway to check to make sure its damaged?

Consult-II compatible scan tools, can display the changing temperature from sensor, as well as the error code, if sensor is failing.

had the exact same problem with an sr..I unplugged the CTS and the fans started spinning, so that was how I determined that the cts was bad.. I replaced it and fans started working normal again again..
props to THE SYNDICATE though, he helped me out on that one

QG engines are totally different. you can try replacing the CTS but some how it doesn't sound like your problem.
