does anyone know if the timing marks on the pulley move out of position when the pulley is going bad?
I've heard people say that the outer part of the pulley turns. is this just the outer edge or the entire pulley for the alternator belt?
I tried to adjust the timing but came nowhere close to the marks. ended up setting the dizzy to the mark I put when I first installed the engine.

the rubber damper gets hard and get loose and the outer portion on the pulley keeps slipping. i'll leave it to Krack korn to explain the rest

the VE has a 4 cw crank and with no harmonic balancer there is risk of bearing failure.

GSPEC Pulleys are very good up grades for this engine. Proven
