mazda AD's with Nissan engines???

when I was shopping around for an AD to buy I came across some that were apparently mazda but they had Nissan QG15/18 engines. Can anyone explain this?

Mazda and Subaru dont make ugly load carrying vehicles, so they turned to Nissan, a manufaturer with a long proven history of ugly load carrying vehicles.
Cheaper for them to outsource to Nissan than to make it themselves for a relatively low volume product.

I have a Nissan AD Wagon,,,,,,not ah Nissan Ugly Load Carrier I always thought Ugly Load was a next name for Mitsubishi
