When you say high, at what rpm do you refer to?

well in park and neutral it goes up to 1500RPM and stays there. I am only getting this problem in those modes. Drive and Reverse is normal about 700RPM.

@marlo, I am not sure this model has the adjust screw, the mechanic I am working with this issue says the model doesn't have one, I stand to be corrected.

Question.

The qg18. Comes with vct?
What parts on the qg18 are different from that of the qg15?

Coilpack and stuff can be interchanged?

Hello guys

Can anyone tell me where I can get an EGR valve/sensor to buy, engine light came on and had it checked and apparently that's the problem

I went to the Bamboo but all those engines don't have that part on them, didn't realize it would be so hard to find

Also, can it be bypassed, I hate seeing the Engine light on

Brando reason why it would be hard to get is because QG engines from 2003 model do not have EGR valves. You need to check old garages that sells the older QG engines to solve your problem.

I think I saw on a thread about those valves being bypassed.

2003 QG and up came with e-throttle.

The gear ratios are a bit different. Someone told me the gains and flaws of using a higher litre engine with a transmission matted to a lower litre engine. Just can't fully remember it.

Some QG has vtc and some don't.

I believe the throttle body is different and of course ecu but it can be interchangeable . I believe coilpacks can interchange.

QG 15. Anybody knows what causes a squealing sound that is far more noticeable when ac is turned on on mornings? Sound stops when engine warms up.
1. Belts recently changed.
2. Power steering pump changed
3. Water pump changed

When u change belts, they are to be re tensioned maybe a week after as they are initially stretched during the " break in" period. That's one possibility.

Debe/Penal had plenty...Take a drive through on the main roads and visit the garages you see.
Even if you get someone to remove the error code to stop the engine light from appearing, your EGR problem won't be solved!

I'm assuming ur problem occurred after changing belts, water pump and power steering pump. What you could do is remove the belts and check all the pulleys (power steering pump, water pump, idler, alternator). Turn them by hand and observe any weird sound or feel. If all is well with those, that leaves ur crankshaft and ac compressor to speculate on. You may not be able to turn those two manually though.

Just all in the last paragraph to be checked. And how serious is this issue which I have been there for a while. At first there was just a short squeak as the starter tumbled and started engine. But now once the engine cold and ac turned on, there is a continuous chirping until engine warms up.

Thanks guys.

Could someone explain? N16 e-throttle, brakes light staying on. At the same time, no kick down, gears shifting normal. Fixed brake light, little rubber on brakes pedal, and kick down back to normal.

You can open it to some extent from the valve itself. I would spray crc throttle body cleaner gently into the throttle.

You mean by pushing on the butterfly itself? U sure this wont cause any problems?

Anyone ever experience their gas pedal requiring a bit more effort to move from its rest position especially when cold?

Well i went ahead and made an attempt this afternoon. I gently pushed the throttle plate and used throttle body cleaner to clean around the seating area. There is a lot of black stuff( poor mtce from previous owner) gunk build up. Also cleaned pvc. Started and seems to be idling normal. Before i could rev and d idle would return to normal. Now, when i rev, d idle drops and jus before reaching setpoint, it increases slightly and then normalizes. I hope i aint screw up anything[SEE-NO-EVIL MONKEY]
