B-12 Question

ok, i've had to adapt my take off when the engine is cold to avoid stalling, here is the situation.
I have a local b-12 with original 12-valve engine. at a standstill, it idles normally, but if i press the ex too quick, the rpm drops right off and almost stalls, could this be a problem with the carb? it still only does it in the mourning(car seviced 2 weeks ago)
NE suggestions?

maybe its a characteristic of carbs.
every carburetted car i have ever driven does this to some degree including my current 323.
i dont bother too much with it as a few minutes idle usually cures that.
works very well for the rest of the day (or until it cools off again)

Get a good mech to check your carb... definitely carb related.

There is a vacuum advance on the distributor ....a small diaphragm which controls the timing manually....you may want to take off the vacuum hose connected...remove it and try to see if it's leaking by blowing into it....I'd bet yah that will solve the problem.....you may need to replace the worn/damaged part and you'll be good to go.
