Sio - yuh might want to make a new post on this - so people see it off the bat once they enter the Nissan forum...

A co-worker of mine who used to compete in 'Dex says that they usually have a morning session - lunch - then an evening session, followed by fun runs. Most of the liming crowd comes in about 1.30 - 2'ish.

So if the team meet up about 1- 1.30pm - that will be great.

The "Drift World Order Club" which came into existence in 1st May, has invited the NISOC TT members on very short notice (today) to come out and support them at the Arima Race track. The event starts at 1:00pm.
The location of the drift event was only made certain today (July 7th), i received a call only a few minutes ago, i wish i could have gotten a call earlier to inform everyone sooner.

Location to gather members is at Trincity Mall Car park by True Value grocery for 12:00pm. Look for the Skyline crew
members who cannot gather at that time and miss us, plz meet at the Arima racetrack.

from a graphic artist's point of view the second one top right is the best one to go with........the other two at the bottom is a bit too busy....and logos are suppose to be simple yet effective.

Top right seems more official. That's 6 for top right vs. 3 for bottom right.

What Is Solodex?

Solodex is a timed automotive event held on a paved, flat surface through a course defined by traffic pylons. The event emphasizes car handling skills and stringent safety measures are upheld to safeguard car, driver and spectator alike. Drivers vie for class and overall prizes by negotiating the course one car at a time in a class of similar cars. The goals are to improve car handling skills and to develop a heightened respect for automotive safety and responsibility in T&T, while having loads of fun.

The course normally ends with the driver coming to a complete stop in a Finishing Box at least 50 feet after the Finish Line. Each run is timed separately and drivers have a minimum of three runs of the course. For each cone penalty, 2 seconds is added to the run time, which is done to al least one hundredths of a second.

Novices:
Newcomers to SoloDex competition (Rookies) will be placed in the Novice (NE) class until they have competed in 6 SoloDex events or won two events in the NE class, whichever comes first. Championship points will be accumulated towards the Rookie championship, however, Rookies who are transferred mid season, will have their championship points recalculated based on their times relative to those of the class they are transferred into.

Classes:
There will be 7 classes of competition in the 2k6 series NE, GS, HS, ES, ESP, SS, EP. Except in the NE class, cars with modifications that significantly improve the car’s performance potential over the standard for the class will be placed in the next higher class. R compound tyres and slicks are allowed without penalty in all classes except NE. Consideration will be given to NE competitors based on the car and driver’s experience on a case by case basis.

NISOC TT Solodex Appearance Report July 16th

NISOC TT members gathered at Grand bazaar for 1:00pm, stocked up some NON ALCO beverages before heading down to the Solodex event held at the Arima Race Track which we scheduled to reach for 2:00pm.
It was NISOC’s first appearance to solodex, again our presence was made known, other car clubs were happy to welcome us and motivated the NISOC team to take part in the event. The solodex event has been dominated in the past and presently today by the 4 wheel/All wheel drive category.
Nevertheless NISOC TT members which consist mainly of rear wheel drive participants were anxious to give the circuit a try and registered themselves into the “FUN RUNâ€
