Then for sure that was not an SR18lsd gearbox. The gear ratios are the shortest for a stock SR gearbox.. anything to support that gearbox ratio and do 180khm in third has to turn that rpm to over 9000rpm to achieve that in 3rd... but then you say stock ECU,stock SR18lsd gearbox and stock Engine and I say show me a unicorn.

so in order to get 180km/h on third gear with a sr18 gear box it has to be bolted
to a sr18 engine ?

i have a p11 primera with a sr18 automatic and it goes to 180km/h.
engine burning oil and seals leaking but the engine working

the fricking old man that had the car before never changed engine oil / tranny oil

so i in the market for a sr20 and converting to manual also

so the better bet is the sr20 with a sr20lsd box

cause doing 120km/h and engine revving at 4000rpm in fifth gear is not
so nice

I've got a question. New on this site and it seems to be really informative. I've got an SR20 in a SSS bluebird. Gtir 4WD gearbox. Had to take it down to change a bearing, but now to fit up back i'm encountering some problems. The gears go in when the housing is off. But to tryselecting when the housing is on is giving problems. Wanna know if there is something jamming or not fitted in properly. Need to get an exploding view diagram to check it out but can't seem to find 1 online as yet. Can any1 help me with this please?

I had a SR20 box that did that, hated that box, 3rd gear pulled me to 180+ with RPM left honest, 1st and 2nd were ok, but 3rd felt like you shifted to 5th.

sm, All FWD SR20 transmissions share the same four bolt surface to mount either a cable clutch bracket or a slave cylinder. So all you might have to do is transfer the slave cylinder to the new cable box and connect to your existing hydro system.
