Postby Dimitri111 » December 16th, 2015, 9:21 am

A friend of mine have a B14 engine in his wagon and when it reaches 4th (automatic BTW) the engine just dies down and the rpm refuse to raise at 140 kph
.. What would you guys recommend for him to do?

How you mean dies down? It drops in power drastically? It struggles at any point? I think your friend expecting more from the engine than it can produce judging by the amount of ppl who claim b14 engines does "real wok".

4th is the overdrive gear. that's the designed behavior.
At 140 in overdrive, i can't remember it going to third.
More likely between 100-120 it might.
You can switch off the overdrive to see a difference.

Hear the funny thing he went by a man to hook up the o/d and when the switch on he getting third gear and when it off its fourth gear.... To my knowledge I think the o/d suppose to be like a fifth gear
