Best bet is to let an electrician look at it...you don't wanna start scrapping your console and end up damaging it...Electricians accustom to that kinda stuff so chances of damaging your console will significantly be reduced..

Sounds to me as though the contact for the button needs some cleaning.

any idea how to remove it and clean the contact or button itself. call dealer and they said i have to replace the entire gear shifter, but that doesn't make sense over 1 button.

Hi. Just want to find out from which manufacture year and month did Nissan start installing the rectified dashboard that doesn't bubble? Also where could I source the mud/splash guards? Thanks.

Splash guards could be gotten from Amazon or eBay. Not sure about the dash issue.

@ Mellod...I am not sure how to scrap the gear shifter..I would skip the dealer and go to an electrician who knows what they are doing..is probably one part needs changing or cleaning...

@ still tippin'not sure which year for the dash, but don't let that stop you from buying the sylphy..I tinted my front glass and I also spread a towel on the dash when I'm going to be parked in the sun for a while..sorry no sun screen yet

I don't think you can change the language. I remember checking all over online to get the language changed for a friend but I never got it. I remember reading a forum post where the member said that the cars weren't designed to leave Japan so they weren't designed with other languages inside. Might be best for you to change the unit and install a pioneer. App radio 4 has received great reviews and can mirror Waze for you.

What is the interval to change the transmission fluid...when at a traffic light for a lengthy period of time I put the car in neutral then shift back to Drive when the car changes...I get a slight jerk from the transmission...is this normal?

Pretty sure that has nothing to do with the fluid. Probably a bad mount? Have your mechanic check it out.

you can check JP car parts website ( google search) ..its not exactly a car manual per say but it gives you diagrams and exploded view of the parts as well as part numbers....

it could be the fluid needs replacing - pull dipstick and check quality of fluid...do a full replacement if u need to.

remember CVT transmissions - NS2 oil...normal 4 spd automatic - any oil that exceeds the nissanmatic D,J & K spec.

check mounts on the crossmember also theres some insulation rubbers as well - buffer rubbers- check and replace ..those buffer rubbers relatively cheap so you can buy them original.

no problem man..if you looking for someone to replace the oil check ryotech performance in the classifieds.

if you have a CVT transmission you will need to carry your NS2 fluid for him to replace it - for the complete fluid exchange he will advise you how much is needed.- it comes in a can $450 each last price i heard on the forums.

if you have regular transmission ask him to supply the oil to do the full fluid replacement. my car took 10 liters - NOT quarts- to replace.
he uses gulf fully synthetic ATF oil...it exceeds the nissanmatic D,J,&,K spec.
oil is clear ( kinda light gold) and stands up really well to the harsh driving my dad does....zero issues.

for the buffer rubbers check the motorist - i bought my insulation rubbers @ the motorist in couva got all 4 rubbers for like $140. if you going by the motorist- have your chassis # handy

any reputable mechanic can check and replace the engine mount if theyre bad...along with the insulation rubbers.

on my car i replaced two mounts on the cross member, all insulation rubbers...two front shocks inner and outer rack end (tie rods)....jus to realize the forking LHS spring is the blasted culprit...
