Hi has any of you guys replaced your subframe on your sylphy? Massy and motorists has it for $3000.00. Has anyone found a solution such as polyurethane bushings etc.

I've learnt that people replace with Teflon. Smooth ride maybe affected but it holds out longer

Front cradle main bushing in super pro poly bushings 1200.00
Check vyshall fron additisportline.com his number is on the site. Located Clayton bay.
He does installs too. Cool fella.

This is the main bushing [solid not partially open like oem] on the both front cradles that usually burst the other is already a solid bushing and there is also the ball joint. Superpro bushings are not as hard as Teflon but will outlast the car once not too abused.
Don't wait too long to change it or you will damage the other solid oem bushing.

Hope this helps.

Btw what type and grade oils do you guys use.
Also on the 2.0 who uses super?

how does the dash recover affect the passenger airbag? I am disappointed that such a "new" car could have such issues. It only means that Nissan made the dash with materials that won't stand up to certain climates. No wonder the new b17 had to go through "testing" locally..

A word of advice to fellow sylphy owners, buy original parts as maintenance issues come up. Don't let the parts man tell you " well everybody using the substitute with out any problems" that's a load of crap, you would find you are dealing with the same issue over and over. Using the Superpro and teflon bushing has its advantages in terms of lifespan but will affect ride quality especially with the kind a sheit roads we have. Don't get me wrong not dismissing them but just something to consider. Has any one replaced their cabin air filter if so was it hard to replace or was it a do it yourself job.

Never really had this problem. Is this from a fullstop to uphill climb or reagular driving uphill. why I ask is because i ran up maracas a couple times with my sylphy ac on high and no issues like what you spoke of. However once I attempted a hillclimb from fullstop in princes town and found the response to be lazy. I stoped put it in low gear and it pulled really well uphill after that. Maybe its how the cvt is set up when you need the pulling power put it into sport mode or low gear if you stop completely and see how it goes. Don't rec dropping into low from normal speeds though.

Yes only at full stop... I was heading Maracas a couple weeks ago in all the traffic when I noticed the problem so I jus take it off for the rest of the trip... Another guy said it could be the Super Gas? idk. and my brother-in-law have the same MR20 in his X-Trail an he said sometimes he gets that same problem. He said he did a scan and the guy said thats how the XCVT works... :? It my 1st Nissan so its new to me... I always had Hondas... Still do

It would be cool to be able to put on some vossens (especially them cv3) but problem arises when the width of these rims are like 9.5 which means it wouldn't fit. Unless you're planning on flaring ur fenders and having the stance look. I was exploring my options as well but it turned out to be problems. Idk if anyone cares to differ
