as you mention it,i do get a little rattle at low rpm, only when d engine is cold, thinking about switching back before that sh1t get worse.

The SR18DE that comes with the P11 Primera/U14 Bluebird can run with Super. My car was running Super when my dad had it 10yrs ago. It was only after I bought it and the gas station pump attendant accidentally put Premium that I started using it. I noticed the change right off, so kept using it.

I have to agree with stunna i have a P11 with a sr18 tried 1/2 thank super and 1/2 premium it worked ok at first but then the rattling started so i put the prestone octane booster with injector cleaner to boost the octane. Man that sheit works. since then i
started back to use premium and it does take me $190 to fill up. but the prestone does
work real tops. and also you does get more milage.

you need to run it longer than one day for the ecu to reset itself to the lower octane fuel,or disconnect the +ve termnal from the batrtery before you full up with super.

^^^LOL...that was harsh!! Nah i feel he talking bout adjusting the cam. That is a manual adjustment u gotta make. I not sure if that making sense if is just the gas that causing it. I say just go back to premium. But its worth trying it and see how your engine performs. It seems to work for some and not for others......

i tried super a few times in all 3 p11's the only one i had a issue was the sr20ve it knocks when cold and under load the DE seems to work ok and the DET i only use it if it is a last resort but i never really drove it like the other two cars so i cant really make a comment but i guess under low boost it should not be a problem just to get me to the nex station where premium is avaiable
