Under the www.tirerack link posted by OP, the link "More Tire Tech Information" takes you to a downloadable Tire & Wheel Owner's Manual pdf) which every vehicle owner/driver/operator should read and absorb.
There are also a number of links on the same page which are very informative.

I'm running 36-38 all round on 225-40-18......I think the ride is comfortable enough for me. I tried dem at 40 for kicks, car ran like a thief but d ride sucked. I think i'll try 38 front and 36 back and see if it makes a difference

i run 205/40/r17 dunlop dz101 with 32 psi up front and 31 at rear! nitrogen, so no need to inflate to 35psi as with normal air

If I use 32psi on my 205/50/17 the ride is a bit bumpy on the highway, but the car seems to move faster and I saved on fuel. On the other roads the ride is rough as if you are driving in a van. So I use 28psi for a comfortable ride.

Tried this and I felt every nook and cervice on the road. I admire people who could drive with those pressures. As for me, my blood pressure went up after driving. @#$!%^& roads!!!!!!!!

I revert to 30/28 and a peace of mind 8-) Ahhhhhh!!!

To what pressure should a T115/70D14 space saver spare be inflated? It's currently at 20 pounds.

^ ^ ^ Isn't the max. psi written on the sidewall?

The max. pressure isn't written on the firewall. There is "4.2 kg/ cm²" on the sidewall though. Not sure what that's for.

EDIT: So I used a pressure converter and I got 4.2 kg/cm² = approximately 60 psi
Does that sound right for a space saver wheel?

Somehow I always pressure slightly under the recommended as I've experienced a major tire blowout while at high speed...

usually go with 31 psi.....but i willing to give the 35 a try...... I will be nervous though...

wow u guys really inflate those tyres....

i have stock tyres....205/55/15 and I inflated to 30 psi in both front and back......took a trip down manzan today and the ride was real rough...felt every hole in and dip in the road....wife ask me wtf did i do to the tyres cause she saw me interfering before we left.....

That ride was way to rough...but the car ran sweet and responded well on the highway though......but those old roads was hell....

I remember back in the day the most my dad would put in his car was 26 psi...and the ride was real smooth.....

Thinking to deflate to 28psi or even 26 psi....

What u guys think>....any advice.....

The ones I use are pretty consistent. Generally not more than 1psi off my personal accurate pressure gauge.

I am running 235/60R16s on my GV and have them at 28F / 27R. I get nice even wear from them at that pressure. When off roading, I reduce them to 17F / 14R for maximum traction.

My bro's Mazda B2500 has 31x10.5s (equivalent to a 265/70R16) and he runs those at 28F/ 26R. Any higher and the rear tyres start to wear out in the middle faster. The van handles pretty well at those pressures also, feels safe if you corner hard. When carrying heavy loads, we use as high as 42psi rear..

At one time, a tyre shop had pumped 45psi into all tyres on my bro's mazda (we bought new tyres) and the van rode horrible! The van felt like it was wandering all over the road and was difficult to keep it in a straight line. I had requested 28 all around..

The rental company for the pickups we use at work (Nissan Frontiers) had pumped 54F / 45R into the tyres on that van! Even with 235/75R15 tyres, it rode like pure crap..

So, do NOT trust anyone to inflate your tyres for you! Get yourself a good gauge, OR top up occasionally to maintain proper pressure.

I'd start at 28psi and keep my eye on how they wear.
