then u have the old one removed, with heat to avoid damaging defogger strips (on newer back glasses) and get the glue off

well i 've heard of a guy who did it. and i was told that his windows go down extra slow. kixx. but that shouldnt be common, but if it is, prepare to get wet in the rain. kixx.

who does this?

my current tint is faded so badly it is actually transparent

but it has no bubbles - perfetly good transparent film on the glass

I was thinking of retinting

but tinting over the existing tint on the rear windshield to avoid damage to the defogger

last time I re-tinted, a popular tint shop in chaguanas damaged one of my demister lines, AFTER THEY ASSURED ME THEY WOULD NOT

Actually it's not like the venitian blinds. The privacy glass is an option for JDM cars. The rear side glass and rear glass is actually tinted. Actually tinted is the wrong word because you can't pell it off. The glass is actually that colour. It's about a 20-25% tint.

why dont u just remove the old one completely? Are u double tinting because u want it darker? Or are u too lazy to get the old one removed?
