Bluebird sylphy A/C problem

For a few days now my a/c only blowing hot air
When I connect up the gauge the pressure shooting straight up and turn on the AC it only jumpin
The AC controls on the dashboard had a problem before where as soon as you take it off 18 / max coldness it gets hot could it be the control board gone ?

When you say jumping,do you mean the idle? Is the compressor turning on and off?
