nissan y11 ad temperature gauge issues

Hey guys,

im having an issue with my nissan y11, when im driving with out ac the temperature gauge goes to half and stays there, when i stop in traffic the gauge goes up, once i the car starts back moving it goes down back to the half mark, when the ac is on it does the same thing, need some help to figure this out please.

Check the fans by the radiator. Sounds like an airflow problem.

if fans are in order it maybe the radiator needs servicing
so at stand still the flow is not as it should be as the water passages might be clogged
a place in el socorro opens and cleans them

^^Ishmael's Radiators. If u going make sure u go really early cuz there is always a line...plus vehicle will have to cool before any work can be done.

When u say as u start back moving, as in instantaneous drop by the gauge? If so might be electrical/sensor related.

Yea that's a electrical issue. Check ur ground first. Make sure u have clean tight rust free connection. I hope u didn't swap out a ur temp gauge sensing unit for a taiwanese replacement.
