WTK: SUBARU ADVICE

Hey tuners, I need alil help with my legacy.....I realise when i am slowing down the vehicle (mashing brakes) i feel a hard vibration on the steering wheel and down by the petals....Can anyone help diagnose this problem....And can u tell me where i can go to get it fix...

Sounds like warp rotors

warp rotors or it not happening all the time, road surface

Road surface usually give you a similar vibration like balancing but get it checked by a mech

Once you feeling it at the brake pedal, that's definitely damaged rotors. replace rotors and you got to go!

I had the same issue with a foreign used Legacy. StopTech has a few articles on this issue.
The rotors are not warped... the disk pads are overheating and leaving deposits on the rotors.

FIX: - Get rotors resurfaced and change to OEM disk pads.
Check that finished rotor thickness is within OEM specs before machining.
FYI this issue may reoccur in future... especially if you stand with brakes applied for long periods of time (traffic lights & traffic jams.) BTW a DIY set of front brake cooling-ducts (or a competition kit for an STi) should reduce future problems.
