This is the thing. Japan is a very big place.

Even if Japan has a very efficient and cost effective public transportation system which would make commuters use their private vehicles less, not all or not the majority of cars that come out of Japan would have been sold at the around the same mileage to a foreign market.
It is possible, provided they may have certain laws against the use of cars over X amount in mileage, but in my opinion, it is highly unlikely. I firmly believe all RORO cars have the mileage rolled back before they come to Trinidad.

Us Trinbagonians see the mileage, see the car looking all clean and nice and think we are buying a good car. However I must admit, they do look lucrative and some tend to 'stand up' well on the nations roads.
Local used for me any day.

True, your best bet tho is the manufactured year, 2010 n up seems as a better buy.

Illegal where? not in trinidad.

everybody switching out instrument clusters, same thing.

its being done to local vehicles as well.

If it wasn't for FU we would still be getting cars with manual wind up windows from the "firm", and don't talk bout the price, never underestimate the power of competition. Best thing to ever happen to this country, think about parts and the cost and availabilty, think about what kind of cars ppl had to be driving before that.

A FU car with 200,000 km still in better condtion that one locally used on our first class roads for 100,000 km, engine is better to because higher quality fuel. lower ambient temps, less sun damage, etc.

Just use common sense when buying. Don't study mileage, buy condition.
