Hello everyone, I have a 2007 corolla and it has a 1zz engine. My throttle body was all gummed up and I did a serious cleaning job on it. Now the car is idling at 2000 rpm !!!...... what can i do to lower the idle?...... is there anything i CAN do?.....
how did you clean it? Sometimes when u clean it on the car, the spray cleaner remains inside the intake manifold and causes the problem. it goes away after a short drive. that happened to me once. it may not be your case though.
remove the battery pole . give it awhile then put it back on . let the ecu reset itself and "re-learn" the correct settings . may not be a spot on explanation but its worked for me
im not sure but doesnt that have the electronic throttle? that happens sometimes but it goes away after a drive or two. you can also just leave the battery disconnected for a bit.
See if one of the idle ports in the TB got clogged. Should have a tiny port on the TB located on the outer side of the throttle plate. Not sure if your car is the same.
