03 almera fan sticking, easy fix?

The fans come on and off like they should but one was looking like it has a late start and early finish.
Tried spinning it freely and it sounds like some sand lodged somewhere in it. I know the fans easy to remove but is this an easy fix or just get a new fan?

Want to know before I pull out the fans in case anyone had this problem before.

It has bushings inside them. Think friction washers. Had a similar problems and I look out a shim. Try swapping the fans and see if the same thing happens

Well so I found out.

Going and buy one tomorrow. Fan housing sealed kinda but you know I going and open it and post pics :lol:

$500.00 for a radiator fan? Like wth, isn't an engine like $1200.00?

The fan for the radiator cost more than an engine?

aye it have d motor for d fan alone sellin, without fan blade or housing, $200.00 well daz by bicks a few months ago

I had the same problem and I changed the whole fan set up, and I still have the ont that I took out with the one good motor the one that was giving trouble and shoud...will give you everything for $300 pm me if u want it,located south.

dig up dem chinee fan and see if u get a motor that will fit yuh housing and swap the blades

I getting Taiwanese fans and double pin ones for cheaper but trying to stick to original.
Sprayed some wd40 in it without success

Im not on facebook right now but will check you when I come back.

I actually service it and seems it works fine but one still starts and stops different from the other. Took out the next one to service and they are different fans. One has 5 blades and the other has 8.

Well bro my advice to you is change the fans before you have to change the engine and still end up changing the fans

I was by an ac guy this weekend, have fan blade throwing away. A whole heap and radiator fan housing, was supposed to pick up one of the 8 blade one but forgot.
