**FUEL PUMP WIRES"**

Postby C33_RB20DET » May 27th, 2014, 10:39 pm

Good Day,

I hope someone can help me out with this. I am doing a DIY car alarm install on my Nissan Almera 2003. What I would like to know is where and which wires are for the fuel pump, auto door locks and parking light.

As I would like to use the alarm circuit to kill the fuel pump and not the starter.

Thank you.

If you're extremely lucky, someone may be able to identify the specific wires you need.

Sorry to say, but, if you don't know how to find these and trace them in the wiring harness, you have no business doing a DIY alarm install.

Gotta give a thumbs up!

Pump is below the back seat, pull the seat and trace the power wires from there. Almeras have a pump relay somewhere down by the right kick panel so you can possibly go there.

Door locks handled by a relay under the dash. Operate the locks and find the relay by ear. There will be 2 trigger wires among others, one open and one close, cant say which as i am not familiar with the colors. You may have to use a DMM. The alarm lock triggers will connect to those.

Park light can be done through any park bulb. Depending on +ve or -ve park signal, you can go through the hazard light switch to use the hazard/indicators instead. Looks better.

Pump wire is a 12gauge black with yellow stripe in the driver floor loom.
Lock trigger-grey (thin)
Unlock trigger -purple (thin)
Located in harness leading to driver door. Pull down fusebox for easier access.
Parking lights- red with blue stripe. Driver floor loom.

Thank you so much Strugglerzinc and t&t tech for this most valuable information to me at the moment as this is going to be my project over this weekend. Will let you all know how it turned out.

One of the reason I want to attempt this myself is to have a better understanding how these are install and work also most people mount their alarm brain under the dash on the steering of a vehicle, I personally want to do something different and I can be more careful in the install as I have a bit of audio equipment installed which I prefer to work around myself in terms of care and handling.

Well we'll see how it goes if I accomplish this install the next step will be attempting to install a remote start. Wish me luck!!

Thank you again.

I always advise agsinst using normally open contacts for fuel or ignition interrupts. So i would advise against that.

Thank you to everyone who assisted and shared their knowledge. Was very busy and only got the time to attempt the install today. I got through, ended up not using the pump but the ignition wire. also used the fog lights and park light instead of the hazard lights. Found the door open/lock relay and used it, was a blue stripe wire and a brownish wire. the door trigger wire was a blue/white wire in the kick. constant and ignition 12V was used from the same ignition harness.

Took a lot of time seeing that I have never installed an alarm system before but everything went well and it was a good clean install.. Thanks again to everyone.
