Magnetic oil filter?

Hey people,a padna tell me today that it have a magnet that you out over the oil filter and it pulls out any fine shavings from the engine oil.same thing he was telling me it have for transmissions, any confirmations about these products?i heard of magnetic drain plugs but not for oil filter and transmissions?post up something if these products real.

seems legit... buts whats the big difference between their magnet and lets say a neodymium magnet from a loud speaker or hard disk drive...??

why pay for a "high performance" magnet when you can get one from a old Hard drive.

OP if youre serious, i'll give you a hard disk drive to get the magnet from it.

A cheaper solution is to stuff an old rag in your engine to trap the iron filings

i have two filter mags over 6 years now. worthless with aluminium filing tho... but the magnets are still strong.

It wont snag various alloys, copper, brass etc

Using Bear Trap oil filter magnets ATM works very well, coming soon for sale

Using regular oil changes and oem filters for over 20 years and works very well.
