Good buy or not

Postby jason1984 » August 24th, 2013, 10:23 am

Guys I'm trying to purchase a lancer like the one below and I was wondering if its a good purchase and also if parts would be easy to source whenever I need to repair it. Thanks

once its the 4g15/13/4g92 its a good buy.
Engine parts are easy to locate, Not like a nissan but its possible to get.
body parts are not to bad, 2500$ for a nose cut, bonnet and stuff like 800-1000.

suspension parts are easy to get in any parts place, shocks 350 for one rear, 550 for the front.
overall its a good daily, anything else?

These are nice cars and they actually hold the road pretty well. Parts are quite easy to come by. For some reason, I find it difficult to find one with a decent original interior though.

It all comes down to how much you're paying for it. I am almost positive this one is a local. I wouldn't pay anything more than $36,000 for one, if it is in excellent condition (relative to its age of course).

I see guys calling as low as $38,000 for the newer CS2 Lancer recently, so keep your eyes open. I personally don't like the CS2 Lancer.

The one I was looking at cost $37,000 but when I called the guy said he already sold it.

Sorry to hear bro. I suppose it must have been in pretty good condition.
