WTK: Clutch wear?

Postby AaronB13 » August 20th, 2013, 10:44 am

On driving my vehicle one day I found that the clutch engagement felt really soft as compared to how it normally feels, its a little mind boggling since it was grabbing hard the previous day up to when I parked it up at night.. but it definitely feels as though the clutch is worn..gear shifts are really smooth now, there's almost no feel of engagement unless I pop the clutch on an upshift.. what could cause this? Did someone steal my vehicle that night and ride the clutch all night before returning it? :) but in all seriousness, could there be something wrong that is causing the clutch to feel so dead all of a sudden?

all that hard grabbing while hot, would equal mushiness when cool.
a clutch gets worn similarly to brake pads, and those experience fade. so........ you wore it out.

Check the cylinders first. What type of clutch is it?
