Nissan B15 Handbrake Issue

Tuners some help needed,handbrake light remains on even when handbrake is down.Happens on and off at times.

Can anyone share some info on this issue?

check brake fluid level, check brake pads and abs sensor.

wouldn't the abs light come on if the if something is wrong with the abs system....

Opie, it could be that you brake fluid (sorry I mean fuel, brake fuel) is low. This could indicate that your brake pads/shoes may be worn and needs replacing or that you have a leak in your system.

Also, you could be unfortunate like me and have a faulty switch by the hand brake lever itself causing the light to remain on.

If you DIY inclined, you can check it out for yourself. If not check your mech and ask him/her to check out the braking system for you.
