help! minor issues

Postby fearsaga15 » February 21st, 2013, 8:43 am

Fellas, I have a few minor things to sort out with my vehicle but I need some advice.

1. The wiper blades keep moving way out of control. at low speed, it's ok but at medium/high speeds the blades move off the windscreen on the way up and on the way down, they hit the plastic moulding at the base of the windscreen. I tightened the lock nuts on both wiper arms hoping that would solve the problem since there seemed to be some "play" in the arms. This worked for a few times and then back to the original problem.

2. I painted over the car recently and the painter tried to re-stick the window visors on the car but they kept falling off so I removed them. This left a glue residue on the frame and I don't know how to get this glue off.

3. What can I use to stick the door panel? It seems like the clip holding the panel to the frame broke off and it keeps vibrating while driving.

Any ideas?
Thanks

1) I am not sure of what could be the problem. Probably you could disassemble the panels by the wiper to see if any linkages between the wiper motor and wiper arms are loose.

2) Wipe some WD40 over the residue, leave it for a few minutes, then use some elbow grease and the residue should come off.

3) 3M automotive grade double sided tape.
