sr20 top speed

Postby sentraman » February 14th, 2005, 6:56 pm

Does anybody have any idea what top speed could be attained with an sr20de that has no speed limiter :?:

AND since most cars have only 180km/h on the dash is there any device that can be hooked up ( most likely digital ) to get a reading which shows beyond the 180km/h :?:

thanks

Dunno about the top speed, but Yancy has the speed cut remover that gives a digital readout I think it's about 1500 installed ... or is it 900 ... I forget ...

in an auto, speedo ressing on 220km and tach still going past 5,800rpm in 4th
nissan auto tranny's are calibrated symetrically like
80km-2k rpm
120km-3k rpm
160km-4k rpm
200km-5k rpm
at 5.8k rpm is well over 220km, past 140mph

Remember, unless you have a digital readout, GTech Pro or something similar, your "stock" Speedo' is likely to be very inaccurate.

That 220 could be 200 0r 205kph

220km tops? = more than 137.5MPH = any slight jerk in steering or tyre blow out would mean 2 things:

1) You will be unrecognizeable even if we find all of your itsy bitsy parts in the shoulder and sew them back.
2) Your vehicle would be like torn pieces of paper and ofcourse, like its driver, it will also be unrecognizeable.

take ur time fellas, play NFSUG2 if yuh have that adrenaline rush.

I find that really hard to believe ... REALLY hard ... Not I'm not calling you a liar or anything, I just can't believe that your NA sr made that kind of top end ... 265kph = 166 mph

166MPH?? Friggin' Porsche 911's don't make that ... :?

http://www.consumersearch.com/www/autom ... orts_cars/

Most 911s can accelerate to 60 mph in about 4.9 seconds, corner at 0.95 g and reach a top speed of more than 160 mph.

Not to metion your gearbox gearing probably will not allow it ... What was the tach reading 10000 rpm? :?

Now you are boosted you are doing what ... close to 200mph?
