walbro 255 vs deatschwerks 300 vs aeromotive 340 lph drop in fuel pumps.

Which is better in your opinion, and what experiences do you have with them?

I know walbro is out longer, but the other two seem to have good reviews also

great comparison, but would you have to prime them if you suck air?
Also i'm hearing that bigger wires may have to be used as the aeromotive pump in particular draws alot of amperage, is this necessary?

^ ^ ^ The Walbro 255LPH should be okay for OEM and mild upgrades but either of the others would be better insurance.

For SERIOUS upgrades, (500+ BHP) there's a new kid on the block---> Walbro 400LPH HP In-tank Fuel Pump.
Walbro wrote:Walbro has released a high-performance aftermarket version of its dual-channel, single-stage (DCSS) 39/50 fuel pump for engines with more than 500 HP. The innovative design of the DCSS 39/50 features a single impeller with two parallel rows of turbine blades. The blades feed two high-pressure pumping channels, as opposed to a conventional single-stage pump that uses an impeller with a single row of blades at its outer edge. This innovative design results in improved hot fuel flow, as well as minimal noise and current use, resulting in efficiency that’s 20% higher than conventional pumps.

Product Highlights:
Designed for engines with more than 500 HP
Award-winning OE technology
High-pressure, high-flow performance
Requires modifications to wiring, fuel lines and fuel module - Professional installation recommended
Outperforms all current market in-tank fuel pumps

Pump Specifications:
OD (large): 50mm
OD (small): 39mm
Length: 121mm
Flow rate: 400LPH @ 40PSI @ 13.5 Volts

IMHO, at 1/4 the cost of a Buschur Racing Double-Pumper. ($180 US vs. $665 US incl. "core cost"), it's the only way to go when things get "serious."

My $0.02¢
