tire problem

Postby ng357 » November 23rd, 2011, 7:29 pm

i have bought some rims 2nd hand, the tires i got with them seemed to be cracked on the sides. They said that all nexen tires do this. I wanted to know if this is good because i plan to solo dex/drag and wind with these tires. the tire is nexen n7000.

No. Throw them away immediately. Wait...use them around your plants in the yard.

Cracked sidewalls is a definite risk factor and especially if you're going to use them for dex.

It is normal for nexen's to do this but it is an indication of an inferior product.

You are NOT good...

Get rid of them before they get rid of you..
Even if the nexen was in good condition, it is barely competent for normal road use, let alone drag and dex use...

Just buy a decent tyre and forget all the stress and worry

cracked sidewalls.
Dont drive on this, especially not for a high speed event.
Cut your losses and ditch them.

Actually it pays to learn to dex on tires with crappy grip. You refine your driving faster that way.

so if i want to learn how to fine tune my driving i should use tires with less grip so i will be put in situations which requires more control?
