^^might have been, but the "play a little" more than likely means transmission on the way out!

The guy is describing a problem with either, the shifter asssembly, the shifter-cable, or the shifter/cable bushings themselves, or any combination of the above.

i realized that i have to pull it just below the D for it to go into the gear, its also screwing up the park neutral safety switch, because when i park overnight and try to start in the morning it doesnt start i have to hold the key in the "on" position and pull the gear lever down a bit and it starts...anyone know who can fix these issues?? looking for someone in south..thanks!

take oldskoolrule advise. it sounds like shifter to me. you could just change to whole ting or have it reparied. also check the cable while you're at it.

No need to change the complete shifter, this is a common problem with b12's and 13's, the shifter bushing needs changing, cheap fix.

Remove the black finisher around the shifter and locate at the side of the shifter where the cable is attached. There should be a ten nut, after removing the nut simply pull the cable out and you would see a little white bushing, and that is your problem,it should cost around $10.00 or less.I encountered the same problem with my previous two B13's.
