exhaust gasket material

Postby Dave-ve » September 16th, 2010, 5:50 pm

tried searching but couldn't find anything.

I need to change the gasket from the primary to secondary pipes on my extractors. I can't get the original gasket used. are there any replacement gasket material that can be cut to be used. engine is NA.

what engine and what brand extractor/header?

That could be a start...

Problem with used gaskets, is that many primary to secondary gaskets are actually crush gaskets, not meant to be re-used...

You can use 20 gauge copper sheeting, Lo Tech hardware in Orange Grove sells it.

you can also try dumore enterprises in San Fernando, you can get graphite gasket ends that you can use to cut your gasket.

I got the copper sheet and made a similar one.
