Tiida AC fans not blowing

Postby RBphoto » March 25th, 2010, 3:02 pm

Hi guys, the fans in my AC working intermittently, like only after they get a jump start from driving over 50kmph. Compressor kicking in normal, and you can feel it getting cool, but no fans. Anyone know how to fix? I have the digital instrument panel.

The motor brushes could replace, or you have to replace the whole fan?

From the ":(" I assume I am in for some major $$$$$ to fix a small problem :skurry:

in my application, both turn on with the ac as did my old car.

got a similar issue with the old car but both fans started off slowly and sometimes not at all. Turned out that both were powered from the same supply but via different relays. The supply wire had become extremely corroded causing the issue. (Hence my question)

Dont expect the same situation with a modern vehicle with relatively new wiring though.

Doesnt the Tiida have one huge fan. Its mounted to the radiator and the condenser is in front of the radiator. With the AC on the fan remains on and with the AC off the fan comes on accordingly for the radiator. At least in my 2007 Tiida its so.......

^^Blower inside the car, not the one in the engine compartment.
