Used it on my tuscon this morning..based on manufacturer recommendation. Engine responding very well.. Much quieter than the oil Massey was using
Brought the mobile 1 extended use oil filter as well

Lange is the mobil dealer.
Ive noticed lange actually sells for more than what the shops they sell to tho.

True Cinco! I remember when I use to buy Mobile 10w 30 for $60 form Auto Village a quart. Lange was selling that for $90

So initial use of mobile 1.. engine is very quiet.. seems more responsive... Pretty good oil so far.. will see how it hold up over the extended use

i actually appreciate their pricing strategy. they dont undersell their resellers which is something few companies do nowadays

mobil 1 is made from group 3 hydrocracked base stocks. Not actually a real full synthetic.

i would sell this if i could find a distributor...pennzoil is great stuff

*edit* I checked the folks who distribute shell, they dont bring pennzoil. They never got permission from Shell to bring it. Shell owns pennzoil btw.

Mobil 1 used to be real synthetic years ago. They aren't anymore but loyal or uninformed customers still buy it. There are many users who don't need a better high performance true synthetic oil and this works well for them though.

I say just as the oil body is graded the word synthetic should be graded too.

Currently I use Amsoil 20w50 in a Toyota GTE JZ engine.

400k doesn't make a diff if engine was cared for. I would try 15/40 and see if it burns and then move up from there. I have a client who has an nze with over 500k and uses 10/30 with no burn off and changes every 10k km.

Those 'things' are the viscosity ratings of the motor oil. How fast an oil can flow. The higher the numbers, the thicker the oil and slower the flow.

34 yrs lol
That would be a 20/50. Tolerances in that engine won't be tight as a modern engine unless rebuilt as such.
