1. washing the engine
2. he accidentally sprayed water in the coil packs
3. then while the car was running, he attempted to remove the coil pack
4. he got shocked
5. now the car wont start

Really, how stupid is your friend?
Does it understand the damage that can be caused to it and the car?
How did it pass the drivers test?
How was it allowed to purchase a vehicle?

Sounds like its time for a new ECU as its brilliance possibly fried the computer.
Get someone with a significant bit more intelligence to verify that the signal is going to the coil packs (aka check if it getting spark) and if signal is going to the injector (aka the gas going in the cylinder).
Try a mechanic this time.

i second that his friend is stupid, but in case u havn't noticed, passing a driving test has nothing to do with knowing abt an engine or a car for dat matter

Take it easy on the dude. Owning a car, passing a test, driving a car, and under the hood are different things that some people vary with.

However, if you do not know, do not interfere....observe first.
