Still can't figure it out???

Postby texastrini » December 3rd, 2008, 10:34 am

, checked tank, little rust here and there cleaned injectors, changed plugs and fuel filter. Car is extremely irratic check engine light comes on and off after long drives engine does not want to start back.. Like it not getting enough fuel but I smell it heavy when It turning over but not starting. Once it does start I get a cloud of black smoke and then it starts to idle better. I am having to constantly adjust the neo in order to keep it running properly, today I cleaned the fuel filter and found a good amount of rubbish inside it, after that car idles normal but does not want to run on the road (could be the neo needing adjustment) I am starting to think that the fuel tank needs replacing because the car started to idle better after the fuel filter was changed. REALLY need some sound advice here, been battling this for 2 weeks now and no one has been able to help me.... Anybody know were to get a fuel tank for a pulsar or any tank that would work in a pulsar like a b13?

^^^yes it would.....its the first two codes in the list for error codes that i have

try re-setting the ecu.....pull off the -ve terminal of the battery for about 10 mins. the re-connect......or pull the fuse for the ECU if u dont want to re-set radio stations and the clock.

if that does not work get it scanned....most established mechanics do it.
