Honestly, the optics on a wingroad headlight is so horrible I would stay away from HID's....
All it would do is scatter light all over the place... On a whole, reflector housings are horrible for HID's, but certain cases can be exempt such as my Volvo and most high quality euro-lenses...

Wingroad lens definitely isnt made for this so just buy the brightest halogen bulb possible and relax with that..

^^tru... i learnt the hard way by installing hid's in my B15

man talk abt glare and blinding plp, had to lower the headlamps to the point where i could only see a few meters in front the car.......

i eventually installed some 100watt bulbs and are completely satisfied with it...

As im on the topic, what is a good brand of 100watt bulb to use?

Honestly, I would just skip the 100w (due to worries about frying the harness) and just buy a very bright 55w such as the Philips X-Treme Power .. Its about $30 US a pair but trust me its worth all the hype...

^ H8 is same as H11... all new Nissans use H11 now.

The Frontier (D22) is H3 fogs, the Navara (D40) is H4 headlight, foglight H11.

The projector headlights for these pickups use H1.

Stock optics on a B13 are terrible, if you sell him that HID kit you are doing all of us road users an injustice....

Man, just buy a good quality h4 halogen and done

CS3 lancer 2005.
Headlight: H4 bulb with actuator that angles upward to produce high beam.
Fog lights: H3.
Bought both in 6000K from equipped2rip and are very impressive. For the headlight, angle the beams to be lower and test them against the rear bumper of someone's car. Went through roadblocks with my 6000K, not on high beam though.
Greatest and most satisfying investment I have made in terms of lighting, output and performance from headlights for my car.

Just to confirm, 2005 local NZE would use H7 for the low beam?

Hey
That's great thread for information. Most of the people including me does not know exactly about the type of the bulb used in car for various purpose.
