I must tell you that it's the first time I'm buying a vehicle in Trinidad and I suspected that Neal and Massy will operate like American companies and do the right thing. I have to tell you there was a lot of deception by Julie Ali the sales rep at Neal and Massy. She told me that she got it all that i did not have to do anything. she told me she will submit all the documents to the bank and to licensing etc. i never knew i could go with her and be a part of the selection/licensing process. She never requested nor offered me the option to be a part of any process and I did not know better.
Listen truth be told I never even test drove the vehicle. I still have not signed or completed a delivery certificate from Neal and Massy. She gave me my keys and I had to go and get someone else to explain the features to me. In regards to the bank, she submitted a chit she got from licensing with the PCY and I was upset. I wanted a PCZ which became available this week past but of course she lied and told me that it will be some more weeks and that she had to fight to get a number for me. In retrospect, I look back at her and see that she was the most horrible sale person I've ever met in my entire life. Worst than a telemarketer!!!! Just full of lies.
The bank sent the information to the insurance based on the chit from licensing. They were as surprised as I was to learn that I got a 2012 in the middle of 2013. When we got the certified copy, it was only then we found out it was a 2012. We immediately called and started the query. I've been told incessantly that it does not matter. They are not saying that I am wrong. They keep saying that there is no difference and I must say that there is no way anyone can tell me a 2012 is the same as 2013. There are differences. I did not get the immobilized as standard equipment instead I got an alarm system (viper) she is claiming she gave me complimentary. Well I will not need viper if I got the immobilized as stated on my invoice.
Thanks all for your help. I think this practice Is too pervasive from the comments i see here. I will need to expose this practice in the press and have it done through a reputable attorney. I believe consumer affairs will no doubt contribute to making this credible. I will not need to present any case on this forum. There isn't much we can do here. I a not sure I need to present proof because I will be mentally ill to fabricate something like this for any reason.
My predicament is real and I will pursue it through the suggested channels. I am positive I got a 2012 when there were 2013 in stock. Julie Ali did indicate to the manager in front of me that all the numbers were gone that is was the last one. But I never knew she was talking about me. I was really clueless that she was selling me the last of the 2012. I called many of the showrooms after that and enquired covertly about the vehicles and told Mr. Pagee what I found out. He said he will talk to the persons I mentioned since they were giving wrong information. I disagree because I spoke to more than one person and took names and times. I mentioned only two names but I have many more names who confirmed that 2012 was now out of stock and only 2013 is available.
To make matters worse, during our normal conversations Julie Ali will tell me things like: I am very busy because my directors really count on me when they are not here to manage the department -this is to show me how important she is
or I am on my last nerve with you - this in response to my queries 1. Why am I getting a PCY and not PCZ. 2 why is my car 2012. 3 where is my credit note for overpaying? I did not get anything from her to state I overplayed and only noticed it because my accountant noticed the difference.
There is no way any one can tell me that this woman is an honest salesperson. I have all my proof and will let the press and my attorney look into this further.
Thanks all for all your help.
Aaron 2NR wrote:So the bank didn't capture the year of manufacture during the procedure, because i know they always get documents with this. even the cert copy has this information, which you get PRIOR to delivery of the vehicle in order to get insurance etc.
as previously stated, ensure you have all you T's crossed and I's dotted.....

Is it a case of having a van already licenced for someone else for a sale that did not go thru...now being pammned of on OP.....?

U do know at the end of a series all extra numbers that weren't used must be used before a new series can begin someone may have asked for that number in licensing office and never came to get it so when her car was licensed she got the numbers that were left over hence the two digit number at the end of the series

WRONG!
when vehicles are licensed, some numbers are skipped at licensing when ppl request special numbers. when series are coming to an end, all unassigned numbers are then registered....how can you register a vehicle and park it up for months?? who name is gonna be on it?? N&M motors?

LOL@ wanting a "PCZ" plate...urine idiot. You're clearly unaware how the licensing process works, it doesn't happen overnight.
What you wrote here is also tantamount to libel and slander, won't be surprised if you get summoned to court, least you would drive there in style.
Blame whoever let women leave the kitchen and allowed them to drive.
