I visited Mileage Mack today. They first did a left to right switch, then checked the alignment. It was off a bit to the left... So they fixed that and car was running nice after...no pulling :D

their alignment procedures seemed more elaborate than the previous place i went to which did it really quick and detected nothing..... would definitely continue to go there

guys please direct me to a shop in the environs of Tacarigua that stocks Maxxis Victra ma-z1 or anything comparable (good dry/wet grip, hydroplaning resistance, road noise).

Size: 205/60r14 (budget $650-$750 ea)

Much appreciated, it is kind of urgent

Also looking for a contact # for the shop by Center of excellence, they close earlier than i expected.

Just to illustrate how each experience is different, they aligned my car when i installed new tyres at that same Mucurapo Rd branch and it started pulling to the left. Had to go elsewhere to sort it out as the machine and tech insisted it was correct.

I'll probably never go to them for alignment again.

Nothing quite so drastic. The other machine indicated a toe out of a few degrees which fixed the issue. There were no issues prior to MM touching it. May have been a tech error or equipment or whatever, i dunno.

Hi Mornng Tuners,

I need some assistance.

For 17 inch rim. 7 inch width rim. what size tyres would work excellent for this spec rim. This rim is to be put on a 2001 cf9 honda accord.
The size tyres I am looking at:
215/45/17
215/50/17 is the spacing big enough in the honda accord to go profile 50 so it does not rub on top? how can i test for this? Any one know someone with a honda accord that tried this size?
Explain to me 50 series profile, will it give car a better overall performance than a 45 series?

225/45/17 wider 215 to 225 - what are the pros and cons on the 17 inch rim 7 inch width?

Thks in advance

Keptis i'm not sure if it will rub the fender or strut, it depends also on your driving style.

i know a cf9 owner who has 215/45/17 but he drives too conservatively to really know if they rub, so if you are the same then you should not have a problem.

If you stay close to stock diameter you should not have a problem, but you need to know your stock tyre size first to compare.

use this to compare the diameter

Thks for info and link Zorced.

My stock tyre is 195/65/15.

The closest thing to it is 255/45/17. I already sourced a pair and it put on hold for me. I just wondering if I put it up in the front if the width of the tyre would hit the sides when I do a full lock. Will have to try before purchase it. My offset for rim is 42.

The next closest is 215/45/17. If I match these different size tyres, The latter one would have a slightly larger diameter and also a smaller sidewall height.

Can a car run 215/45/17 and 225/45/17. The issue would be one has a higher side wall than the other. Any other issues it would cause?

Also u know we need to rotate the tyres every three months and the wider tyres and thinner tyres would be both in the front and the back at times.

Of course the ideal thing is to continue looking for another pair of 225/45/17. or if this does not fit my vehicle go for a set of 215.45/17.

The way things going with premium gas for sure I can drive conservatively. Is your friend using super unleaded by chance in the honda accord?

Offset would also play a role in whether you rub or not.

Keep same rolling diameter on all wheels where possible for easier rotation. If you must, ensure at least the pair of wheels on the same axle (both wheels in front or both in the rear) have the same rolling diameter. As simple as 2 diff brand tyres can result in a difference.

Has anyone tried out the Yokohama Parada Spec 2 yet?

Those are the sexiest things since the BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW2

From what I understand Mystique is a line of tyre made by a company called Blue Streak.. It may be owned by Goodyear but it isn't A Goodyear tyre per se. I seems to be a budget tyre that is sold in australia etc..

I'm sure it is ok quality but maybe you can find better for similar price if you look around?
