Honda Civic ES5 headache

Postby JeanPaulR » October 22nd, 2016, 7:50 pm

Hey tuners, I about lost with options right now. Have a ES5 1.6 automatic Civic (Singapore model) that cut off while driving 2 weeks ago and to date we cannot get the car running.

Car starts back but cuts off 3-5secs after.

Areas checked and tested so far:

Fuel Pump tested
Cam & Crank sensors replaced
All sensors wiring checked
Map sensor checked
Air flow sensor checked
Timing belt checked
Gears internally checked for any broken teeth

No alarm system installed.

Right now we are sourcing a K-Pro just to see if it's the ECU.

Anyone had similar issues? Any ideas? It's been two weeks plus and aside from the ECU the mechanic is running out of options along with my patience :/

Had an ES8 civic do the same thing, the TDC sensor was the problem. It did not show on the diagnostic machine but when it was changed the car worked well after
