why loop the lines..??
you'll be channeling hot coolant back to the engine.
if youre not using the system - the HOT side of the HVAC unit is controlled by a temp slider switch - or rotary knob to turn or some other method. same slider switch that would normally be moved from hot to cold - that switch controls a valve that shuts off coolant from runining thru the heater core.
so if its set to cold - the ac will work while the unit will prevent coolant from runing thru the heater core in the dash.
if its set to hot the ac compressor wont engage and it will allow hot coolant to run thru the core - and the HVAC unit will channel the blower motor air over the core and it blows out hot air thru the vents.
aka if not in use..it doesnt allow coolant to pass- ie same as having the line capped off.
op you have two options either cap off the lines -both lines -that go the the heater core in the HVAC unit and rebleed the radiator system to ensure its free of air ..
. or replace the heater core. and then rebleed the cooling system.
