W.T.K if its safe to leave diesel engine oil over 8 months

Hi Tuners have a PCR Toyota Lux 2.5 that I hardly use due to company vehicle. I normally change oil an filter every 4.5k to 5k but cause of lack of use the oil would remain in engine 8 to 10 months before the next change, is that okay? Thanks guys.
