odd noise

Postby JesuEric » November 17th, 2013, 11:25 pm

Good day tuners. I have a P11 that gives a loud noise when applying brakes it only makes a noise when the rotar touches the brakes at a certain part. When the car and brakes is cold its very loud where as when the car and brakes is hot there's little and sometimes no noise....I changed brakes thinking it was that no luck. I bought heavier rims and with those rims the sound is louder.....Is this my rotar or caliper? or something else?

Is there also a shim or vibration while applying brakes?

Could be the rotor itself needs replacing or the wheel bearings.

What pads are you using? Are pad holding metal clips properly installed?

didnt occur to try a diff set of pads?
i mean if u just changed pads and a noise started then the common denominator is the pad innit

Try ceramic/semi-ceramic pads. Those cheepo pads that have a lot of metal in the compound make noise and damage rotors... they make loud noise when they cold like at first start in the morning or after being parked all day... ohk famous for this kinda thing.

it actually was 2 things...one would be that my spindle was bent from a pavement lash my cousin did with the car and I got the noise on the next side and that actually was just the caliper bolts needed to grease. thanks tho guys and I still switching from wagner because that is a sheit brand cus when its hot it gets mushy really easily
