hahahahahahahahahaha

- you should find out what oil the dealer was using first, mixing oil could damage your engine.

- if you do switch try using quakerstate 20w50 it's kinda pricey, but say what, still cheaper than repairing the whole engine right?

Chicken, the engine is still new...10W30 is for high revving engines. Stick with the Mobil 1 15W50....can't go wrong!

I personally use the blue bottle shell helix due to its seeming ability to reduce my lifter noise.....that's after trying Castrol syntec, mobil1 and redline.......but out ah all try the mobil1 and observe yuh engine's response to it.......it ought to be noticeable in a positive manner..........hoo

Hook, how well that coconut synthetic would be for noisy lifters and price???

oil additives really aren't recommended.
yuh have different choices... based on engine type, engine conition (incl age), driving stlye, ambient conditions.

synthetics: castrol or mobil one eh guys?
semi-synth aka blends (lol.. blends): shell
real oil: castrol, shell

Believe it or not the latest formulation NP will work just fine. Not that Mobil won't be good for your engine but you will get the same results in this case for your Almera for alot less money especially since you looking to change oil every 5000k. Once you maintain this interval you will have good results. See Zorce Issue #7 > Zorceology which talks specifically about some things to consider when changing your motor oil.

Mr. Solo used NP in the last Great Race as well as NP sponsored racecars like Gary Hunt's Civic hatch (circuit), Ainsley Lochan's Evo7 (rally) and Sean Ready's Monster Sunny (drag). And no, they did not pay me to say that. Cars tuned by Team Laro in drag racing have been using NP for years without fail.

Castrol/Shell/QuakerState will also give you good performance once you maintain that service interval for alot less money than Mobil 1.

man..all dem old mechanis would tell you NP oil is the BEST :!:

But I guess we Trini's.,including myself, always feel that foreign stuff is of better quality.......

My good friend and mechanic....does buss real cuss when he hear ah using MOBIL 1........ when I switched to Castrol 20w50.........he kinda ease up on the cuss. But he still believes in ULTRA......

my $0.02

diito there Narend, i agree with you, all of the 6cylinder machines from laro garage use np and none ever suffer engine failure due to oil and i see when these engines are scrapped to be rebuilt with parts and all are like branding fcuking new
personally i am a quaker state, redline, amsoil and chevron man
