These days just keep getting better....Last week My car gave this grinding sound when I turned the starter, like it not engaging the engine...I actually had to push the car in gear until I got some resistance.
Now the damn thing will not start at all
and now I hadda push the par in gear till I hear the engine turn over. I tried another starter, same results
A mechanic told me it's most likely the teeth on the flywheel is gone but I don't understand how it could have gone so fast. Could it be that the starter was not the right size? (but why it work all dis time?)
When I look at the starter I did see wear on the gears but only on the tips
