WTK: External wastegate on Turbo Diesel engine

just wanted to kno out of curiosity cause i find myself thinkin abt all kinda crap wen i bored:
Wud an external wastegate on a turbo deisel engine sound the same as a gas engine? i cant think of a reason why not. And NO i am not thinkin abt doin this :lol: i dont even own a diesel vehicle and i think u shud hav the performance to back the sound, its merely for discussion sake...

Owned my fair share of turbo diesel engines that ran like crazy and also asked that question.... Never did get an answer other than I don't think so, with no additional info to support it. Still seeking enlightenment.

Don't see a reason for it not to work,but probly won't sound sporty from the low diesel rpm.
Then you have to deal with the sooth and fumes.

Bov yes. No for external waste gates. Diesels are already loud, there's no need for a external waste gate to make more noise
