HKS SSQV 3 Problem

Postby DJ Nexxus » April 10th, 2010, 9:09 pm

Just installed a new unit in my RB25DeT running stock boost, and found I am getting alot of compressor surge before the BOV starts to actuate!...anyone know what could be causing this? because as far as I know this valve cannot be adjusted?

Well it seems the 'New' HKS SSQV isn't adjustable.

verrrrrrry tempted to rip this sheit apart and find out what is going on!....some sites are saying the flutter is normal unduer low boost ans is not compressor surge, but I def hear the surge coming through the air filter!

is there a check valve on the sensing line make sure its installed correct or check that the vacume line 2 see if it's broken with the engine running also rev engine and remove the sensing line and feel if air is passing if so u may have a blown diaphram however i dought but still check , the flutter is normal unduer low boost 1 to 2 psi
